Public Reading Dates

By popular request, and against the advice of my doctor, I shall be reading A Christmas Carol aloud in halls up and down the country this winter.

I give every character his own voice. Scrooge is the hardest, for he must change by degrees across the evening until the audience can hardly remember the man they met at the start.

Tickets will be sold at the door and through the usual booksellers. Please arrive early: the gas is lit at seven, and Marley is dead before a quarter past.
